About the Position:
Our client, a highly-regarded mid-size Chicago law firm, is actively seeking an experienced employee benefits/executive compensation attorney to join its office as a Partner or Counsel (depending on experience) in a reduced hours schedule. This person will advise on a range of executive compensation and benefits issues that arise during major transactions, and must be comfortable working autonomously on such matters. Note – Although it is a part time role, it is salaried with full benefits.

Responsibilities:
· Provide executive compensation support to mergers and acquisitions matters and coordinate with other practice groups at the firm during each deal
· Advise public and private companies in all areas of compensation design, including implementation of equity, compensation arrangements, such as stock option plans, phantom stock plans, gain-sharing programs, and other types of incentive programs
· Counsel boards and compensation committees in structuring compensation programs and agreements for themselves and their executive officers

Required Qualifications:
· 10 or more years of executive compensation and employee benefits experience
· While business is not required, any level of portable work is always welcomed
