About the Position:
Our client, a distinguished Chicago law firm with a thriving corporate transactions practice, is actively seeking an M&A lawyer with 6 or more years of experience to join the firm. This practice represents business owners, investors, and organizations ranging from mid-sized, entrepreneur-operated companies to large global companies in corporate counseling, M&A, capital raising, business formation, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities:
· Handle a range of corporate transactions, including private company mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and LLC/shareholder agreements
· Advise middle market companies on various general corporate matters

Required Qualifications:
· 6 or more years of corporate transactional experience
· Strong academic credentials and writing skills
· Previous experience with private securities offerings and private equity is a plus
· Portable business is a plus, but it is not required
