About the Position:
Our client, an Am Law 50 firm with a strong international footprint, is seeking a restructuring lawyer to join its practice in Chicago as an associate. Attorneys in this practice guide clients through out-of-court workouts and court processes around the world and have been involved in nearly every large restructuring in the last 15 years.

Responsibilities:
· Represent debtors, creditors, purchasers and other interested parties in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, out-of-court workouts and cross-border proceedings
· Draft agreements and corporate/reorganization documents, including disclosure statements and plans of reorganization
· Conduct legal and factual research and investigations
· Analyze complex capital structures and financial issues
· Prepare for and participate in witness interviews, depositions, and court hearings
· Interact directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
· Assist with developing business strategies and client pitches

Required Qualifications:
· 1-6 years of experience with financial restructuring and insolvency, complex litigation, or other business law
· Experience with investigations, legal research and writing, persuasive brief writing and oral presentation
· Excellent academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $225,00 – $390,000.
