About the Position:
Our client, a globally renowned law firm, is actively seeking a bankruptcy/restructuring lawyer with two or more years of experience to join its Chicago office as an associate or counsel (depending on level of experience). The person in this position will focus primarily on commercial foreclosure and commercial real estate litigation matters for government sponsored enterprises, special servicers, banks, and CLOs.

Responsibilities:
· Advise clients with commercial foreclosures, commercial real estate litigation, and creditor rights matters
· Handle all aspects of commercial foreclosure process (title review, drafting notices of default, pre-negotiation letters, foreclosure complaints, receivership motions, confirmation documentation, summary judgment motions and briefing)
· Litigate disputed foreclosure actions, including appearing in court and oral argument and discovery; handle commercial real estate receivership, lien priority, and fraudulent transfer litigation in federal and state court
· Draft forbearances and loan modifications

Required Qualifications:
· 2 or more years of experience with commercial foreclosure, real estate litigation, and creditors’ rights in a law firm setting
· Familiarity with and/or interest in commercial bankruptcy and single asset real estate cases preferred

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid flexibility)

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for an Associate in this position is $235,000 – $345,000.
The anticipated salary range for a Counsel in this position is $175,000 – $210,000.
