About the Position:
We are working with an Am Law 100 firm that has an immediate need for an IP litigator to join its Hatch Waxman Practice as a mid-level associate in Chicago. The attorneys in this highly regarded practice have significant experience representing both brand and generic drug companies in Hatch-Waxman drug patent cases and assist clients every step of the way, from pre-litigation planning and strategy, assistance with the regulatory review process, to trial, appeal and/or settlement.

Responsibilities:
· Represent a broad range of clients in patent litigation, with a focus on Hatch-Waxman litigation
· Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications
· Prepare non-infringement, freedom to operate, and patentability opinions
· Assist clients in obtaining patents for a variety of fields, including biotechnology, life sciences, and chemical technologies

Required Qualifications:
· 3+ years of Hatch Waxman litigation experience from a law firm setting
· Technical degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field preferred
· Experience drafting briefs and participating in all aspects of fact and expert discovery
· Excellent academic credentials
