About the Position:
We have been exclusively engaged by our client, a global company headquartered in Chicago, in its search for an employment attorney to join as a Counsel in its collaborative legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong employment litigation and/or counseling experience (5 or more years) and the desire to join a growing and sophisticated company!

Responsibilities:
· Provide day-to-day strategic legal advice and counsel on a broad range of employment matters, including compensation and benefits, employment policies, restrictive covenants, terminations, and discrimination and harassment
· Partner closely with HR to evaluate legal risks and collaborate on global employment and ethics matters
· Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of employment-related agreements and contracts
· Handle employment claims and litigation
· Manage annual employee compliance program and certification
· Support and assist with internal investigations and respond to employment-related inquiries
· Proactively conduct risk assessments and identify compliance and/or labor and employment risks
Required Qualifications:
· 5 or more years of employment litigation and/or counseling experience from a strong law firm or in-house legal team
· Experience drafting and negotiating employment-related contracts
· Substantive knowledge of state and federal employment laws
