About the Position:
We have been exclusively engaged by a sophisticated Chicago-based company seeking a large law firm attorney with a litigation background (8 or more years; partner preferred) for an exciting Senior Counsel role. Responsibilities:
· Work with Director of Marketing and other lawyers in department to identify and pitch prospective clients
· Undertake various client service and relations efforts to retain current clients, including meeting with management and GC teams of current clients and working with professionals across the company on different initiatives
· Underwrite and assess risk profiles of current and prospective clients
· Assist company GC with internal legal and compliance matters
· Prepare reports for Senior Management meetings and Board meetings
· Conduct legal and fact research and provide oral and written analysis thereof in connection with responsibilities above
· Travel (a few days per month) required

Required Qualifications:
· Attorney with 8 or more years of litigation experience
· Large law firm partner preferred – but will consider current in-house attorneys with significant prior large law firm partner experience
· Must have excellent client relations and communication skills and the desire for a strong client-facing position
