About the Position:
Our client, a mid-size Chicago law firm, formed more than 100 years ago, is actively seeking a partner-level intellectual property attorney (with $300k or more in business) to join the firm. Attorneys in this practice represent clients in the U.S. and more than 50 countries throughout the world, providing IP enforcement strategies and defending clients in claims involving infringement, misappropriation and unfair competition.

Responsibilities:
· Advise clients in patent, trademark, trade secret and false advertising litigation
· Represent clients seeking patent and trademark protection before the USPTO
· Negotiate licensing and other intellectual property agreements
· Represent clients with IP matters, including patent infringement, antitrust violations, misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition
· Identify potentially risky product features and counsel clients on the avoidance of litigation

Required Qualifications:
· Substantial experience representing clients in a range of intellectual property matters, including IP litigation
· $300k or more in portable business
· Experience negotiating IP-related agreements
