About the Position:
Our client, one of the world’s leading global law firms, is seeking an investment fund attorney to join its practice group as an associate in their Chicago office. The practice advises fund sponsors, asset managers, and institutional investors across the full spectrum of private capital, including private equity, venture, and credit funds.

Responsibilities:
· Advise fund sponsors on the structuring and fundraising of private investment funds across a broad spectrum of asset classes
· Advise on internal sponsor arrangements and co-investments
· Advise on fund operations and related regulatory and compliance matters

Required Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in private investment fund formation and related fund operational matters
· Well-versed in the two governing 1940 Acts covering investment advisers and investment companies
· A background in private equity or hedge fund formation is ideal

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range is $260,000 – $435,000.
