Our client, an international Am Law 100 firm based in the Midwest, is seeking an investment management lawyer to join as a mid to senior-level associate in Chicago. Attorneys in this practice advise national and multinational registered and private funds, along with their sponsors, investment advisers, broker-dealers, and other institutional market participants, on business formation, expansion, and growth. Responsibilities:
· Advise clients on investment management matters and issues arising under the federal securities laws
· Counsel registered investment companies through the registration and formation process
· Prepare and review registration statements and offering documents, board meeting materials, investment management agreements, and related materials
Required Qualifications:
· 3-8 years of experience with the Investment Company Act of 1940, Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Securities Act of 1933, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and related regulations
· Excellent academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $435,000.
