About the Position:
Our client, a Midwest-based Am Law firm, has an active need for an experienced investment management lawyer to join the firm’s Chicago office as a senior associate, counsel, or income partner (title dependent upon experience). This premier practice represents private equity groups, real estate sponsors, family offices, and operating companies as they build platforms, negotiate strategic partnerships, and pursue growth or exit strategies. The group also develops AI solutions that streamline diligence, organize deal data, and improve the efficiency and quality of legal services.

Responsibilities:
· Represent private equity, growth equity, venture capital, and real estate sponsors and investors in a broad range of transactional matters, including fund formation, capital raising, M&A and other private investments
· Advise clients throughout the investment lifecycle, from formation and capital raising to exit
· Assist sponsors in structuring private investment funds and negotiating key fund documents, side letters and co-investment arrangements

Required Qualifications:
· 6+ years of private investment experience, including advising and counseling investment management companies, family offices, and other key participants within the private equity sector
· Broad market knowledge of investment vehicles and industry verticals

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $390,000+, commensurate with practice and experience (salary will be higher at the counsel and partner level).
