About the Position:
We are working with a sophisticated finance-focused firm with offices across the country that has an immediate need for an attorney to join its litigation practice as a junior-level associate in Chicago. The attorneys in this premier practice represent clients in state and federal courts nationwide and have played a pivotal role in shaping the laws governing financial market participants, including landmark cases in consumer lending and retail banking.

Responsibilities:
· Represent financial institutions and secured lenders in commercial litigation matters, including workouts/restructurings and enforcement proceedings, contract disputes, and avoidance actions
· Provide advice to clients on Uniform Commercial Code and compliance matters
· Conduct mediations and depositions, and represent clients in hearings
· Draft and negotiate motions, pleadings, restructuring documents, and forbearance agreements
· Prepare and negotiate settlement agreements

Required Qualifications:
· 1-4 years of experience in commercial litigation, corporate, and/or finance law
· Excellent academic credentials
· Strong communication, research, and writing skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $225,000 – $310,000.
