About the Position:
Our client, a distinguished global law firm, is seeking a labor & employment attorney with both traditional labor and employment counseling experience to join its Chicago office as a senior-level associate or counsel. Responsibilities:
· Represent clients with collective bargaining negotiations and grievance arbitrations, as well as filings with the Illinois Labor Relations Board
· Assist clients with matters involving the defense of unfair labor practice charges, counseling prior to and during union organizing drives, and negotiation of collective bargaining agreements
· Handle issues involving hiring and separation, wage and hour, EEO, non-compete and trade secrets, employment policies, agreements and handbook reviews, due diligence for corporate transactions, employee accommodations and leave issues, investigations, and other employment law issues
Required Qualifications:
· 6+ years of experience with labor and employment matters
· Substantial traditional labor experience, including with unions, collective bargaining, and NLRB matters
· Experience with employment counseling, as well as transactional drafting, and litigation matters (single plaintiff and collective/class actions)
· Excellent academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $310,000 – $370,000.
