About the Position:
Our client, an international Am Law firm, has an active need for an experienced leveraged finance lawyer to join its Chicago office as a mid/senior-level associate. This practice counsels major US and international lenders and borrowers worldwide in a broad range of transactions and has been recognized as one of the leading firms in the United States in the area of bank lending. Clients include major financial institutions, private equity and hedge funds, business development companies, and other institutional and non-bank lenders. The practice also represents US and international companies across a variety of industries, including airlines, biotechnology/pharmaceuticals, computers, communications, construction, consumer products, energy, financial services, government contracting, healthcare, manufacturing, publishing, real estate, and resorts.

Responsibilities:
· Counsel clients on complex, multi-tier capital structures, including first- and second-lien facilities, first out and last out structures, unitranche structures, and mezzanine structures
· Represents borrowers and lenders in secured and unsecured credit financing transactions and venture debt transactions, including acquisition financings

Required Qualifications:
· 4+ years of experience with a full range of leveraged finance transactions
· Excellent academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $310,000 – $425,000.
