About the Position:
Our client, a leading Am Law firm, has an active need for an experienced litigator to join its Chicago office as an associate. Attorneys in this practice represent clients in trial and appellate courts at the federal and state level, before administrative tribunals, and in arbitrations and other dispute resolution proceedings. The practice represents a particularly strong client base in the private equity sector as well as in the financial services, leisure, and healthcare industries. This role is specifically designed for a strong litigator looking to develop a specialization in eDiscovery and information governance. Responsibilities:
• Manage all phases of eDiscovery, including legal holds, preservation, collection, review, and production of electronically stored information
• Support case strategy across complex commercial litigation, products liability, antitrust, and internal or government investigations
• Coordinate with clients, case teams, and third-party vendors on discovery workflows and project timelines
• Engage in all stages of litigation, including depositions, motion practice, and written discovery
Required Qualifications:
• 4-6 years of complex commercial litigation experience at a large law firm (Am Law preferred)
• Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in developing a specialization in eDiscovery and information governance — prior deep eDiscovery experience is not required
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and senior attorneys in high-stakes matters
• Excellent research, writing, and academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $310,000 – $390,000
