About the Position:
We are working with a Midwest-based Am Law firm that has an immediate need for a litigation paralegal (2+ years of experience) to join its Chicago office. The individual in this role will play a critical part in assisting the litigation team in managing complex cases from inception to conclusion. Responsibilities:
· Assist attorneys with managing and organizing litigation cases from inception through trial
· Maintain and update case files, manage case timelines, and ensure all court filings comply with deadlines
· Conduct legal research using various platforms including, Westlaw, LEXIS, and PACER
· Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
· Assist with document management, discovery, and electronic database maintenance
· Provide on-site support at trials, including organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and managing courtroom logistics
· Support deposition and trial preparation by assembling key documents and evidence
Required Qualifications:
· 2 or more years of litigation experience
· Bachelor’s degree required and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred
· Strong organizational, document management, and communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple cases and adhere to strict deadlines
