About the Position:
Our client, a top Am Law 50 firm with a strong international footprint, has an active need for a corporate attorney to join its market leading practice in Chicago as an associate. The firm works on some of the world’s largest, most complex cross-border transactions alongside multinational clients, private equity funds, and global corporations.

Responsibilities:
· Advise privately held companies, high-growth businesses, venture capital and private equity funds, and corporate strategics on equity financings, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and general corporate matters
· Lead drafting and negotiation of purchase and merger agreements and other ancillary transaction documents throughout the deal lifecycle
· Direct due diligence efforts and oversee legal research in support of complex M&A and private equity transactions

Required Qualifications:
· 4+ years of private equity or M&A experience, leading transactions and representing clients in buy-side and sell-side M&A deals and equity financings
· Excellent drafting and writing skills, including experience drafting agreements and transaction documents
· Strong academic credentials

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $310,000 – $390,000.
