Our client, a national Am Law firm, is actively seeking a health care attorney with substantial experience in the area of managed care to join its Los Angeles or San Francisco office as an associate. This firm’s Managed Care practice advises leading health plans, providers, payors, and healthcare organizations on complex regulatory, transactional, and reimbursement matters, allowing attorneys to gain exposure to cutting-edge healthcare delivery models, value-based arrangements, and high-impact work. Responsibilities:
· Provide day-to-day legal counsel to health plans, IPAs, providers, payors, and vendors on managed care matters
· Advise clients on federal and California regulatory compliance, including Knox-Keene, DMHC, Medi-Cal, and DHCS requirements
· Draft and negotiate provider network, downstream, and ancillary services agreements
· Counsel clients on coverage, reimbursement, value-based care, and risk-sharing arrangements
· Advise ACOs participating in MSSP, CMMI models, and other Medicare programs
· Support Medicare Advantage and D-SNP clients on regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters

Required Qualifications:
· 2+ years of experience with managed care law, including managed care operations and policy
· Experience drafting and negotiating contracts
· Strong academic credentials

Location:
Los Angeles or San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $210,000 – $300,000.
