About the Position:
Our client, a Midwest-based national law firm, is seeking an experienced energy lawyer with mining transactions/regulatory experience to join its Chicago office as a Senior Counsel in the Energy & Natural Resources practice. The attorneys in this nationally-recognized practice counsel clients on environmental compliance and permitting, OSHA and MSHA issues, contract negotiations, strategic transactions, and mine development on public lands.

Responsibilities:
· Provide strategic and business-focused advice to guide clients in mining and other natural resources industries in transactions and complex regulatory proceedings
Required Qualifications:
· 7 or more years of experience advising mining clients in complex transactions and regulatory proceedings
· Excellent academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base compensation or this position is $225,000 – $275,000.
