About the Position:
We are working with an Am Law 100 firm that has an active need for a patent attorney to join their growing practice as an attorney in Chicago. The firm provides sophisticated patent work for a broad range of clients in procurement, litigation, and prosecution matters.

Responsibilities:
· Prepare and prosecute patent applications on behalf of clients, including drafting claims, responding to office actions, filing requests for reconsideration, and advising on strategies to overcome examiner rejections
· Perform due diligence and manage patent procurement services
· Manage patent portfolios and apply technical expertise to medical device matters

Required Qualifications:
· 3+ yrs of medical device patent experience, including surgical and robotics-assisted devices
· Experience with the patent application process, including drafting and prosecution
· Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills
· Degree in mechanical engineering is desired

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $250,000 – $300,000.
