About the Position:
Our client, an international law firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Intellectual Property practice group in Chicago as an associate. The group handles patent cases in federal district courts across the country, and advises clients on patent matters as they relate to regulatory, transactional, and litigation strategy.

Responsibilities:
· Litigate matters in federal district courts, including drafting documents, taking depositions, and performing legal research
· Secure patents and counsel clients on patent infringement and invalidity investigations, licensing, and trade secret matters
· Draft motions for patent office action responses

Required Qualifications:
· 2-5 years of experience litigating patent matters in federal district courts
· Strong academic credentials and writing skills
· Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a technical field
· Admitted to the bar in the State of Illinois

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $225,000 – $320,000.
