About the Position:
We are working with an international Am Law 100 firm that has an active need for an IP lawyer with 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience to join its Chicago office as an associate. The attorneys in this thriving practice have backgrounds in technology and scientific spaces from nearly every industry sector. The firm offers the full suite of patent services, including procurement, prosecution, domestic and global portfolio maintenance, post-grant proceedings, valuation and transaction advice, pre-suit investigations and opinions, clearance, and design-around options.

Responsibilities:
· Prosecute patent applications in a range of chemical and mechanical technologies, including filtration, material science, polymer science and medical devices

Required Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience
· Background/degree in chemical engineering or materials science
· Experience with filtration, material science, polymer science and medical devices
· Patent searching and analysis skills are a plus

Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $175,000 – $255,000.
