About the Position:
We are working with a prestigious Am Law firm that has an active need for a privacy and cybersecurity attorney to join its Downtown Los Angeles office as an associate. The attorneys in this practice represent a wide array of clients in virtually all areas of the global economy and possess decades of experience as well as advanced business and technical backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
· Counsel clients on privacy and cybersecurity compliance under U.S. state, federal, and international frameworks, including CCPA, COPPA, GDPR, GLBA, HIPAA, and TCPA
· Guide clients through data breach investigations, incident response, and breach notification obligations
· Conduct privacy assessments and lead data mapping and records of processing exercises
· Help clients build and refine their internal security and privacy policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:
· 4-6 years of privacy and cybersecurity experience, including compliance counseling and incident response
· Experience handling breach investigations and notifications, privacy assessments, data mapping, and policy development
· CIPP or a comparable industry certification is desirable
· Strong academic credentials paired with excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills

Location:
Los Angeles – Downtown, CA (Hybrid)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $290,000 – $370,000.
