About the Position:
We are working with a Midwest-based Am Law 100 firm that has an immediate need for a data privacy attorney to join its practice in Chicago as a mid-level associate. The person in this position will largely focus on incident response, and this firm’s practice has handled hundreds of incidents for companies in the U.S. intelligence community and in law enforcement.

Responsibilities:
· Provide clients with incident response counseling for data breaches, ransomware, fund transfer fraud, hacking, and other privacy and security matters
· Advises clients on matters related to U.S. and international privacy law, technology transactions, cybersecurity, compliance, and emergent technologies

Required Qualifications:
· 3 to 5 years of experience with technology, privacy, and cybersecurity compliance
· Data breach response experience
· Experience with domestic and international privacy laws and regulations, including CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, GLBA, LGPD, GDPR, and related compliance
· Certification(s) with the IAPP preferred (or willingness to obtain certs upon hire)
· Academic credentials related to privacy, cybersecurity and IT

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position starts at $205,000.
