Our client, a sophisticated finance-focused firm with offices across the country, is seeking a finance attorney to join its Chicago office as a junior associate. The attorneys in this premier practice regularly serve as bond counsel or underwriter’s counsel on public finance transactions throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:
· Represent state governments, state agencies and authorities, counties, villages, school districts, and municipal non-profit corporations across the country in public finance transactions as well as municipal derivatives and bond issues
· Draft financing documents, perform document review and legal research, and write memorandums
· Collaborate with attorneys from the firm’s banking, tax, securities and bankruptcy groups
Required Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of general finance or transactional experience at a bank or large or midsize firm
· Experience with transactional work focusing on public finance transactions, including municipal derivatives and bond issues
· Experience with drafting financing documents, document review, legal research, and writing memorandums
· Strong academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $225,000 – $260,000.
