About the Position:
Our client, a global Am Law 100 firm, has an active need for a real estate lawyer with related investment and finance experience to join its premier practice in Chicago as an Associate. This law firm’s national real estate practice is known for its strengths in both the finance side of commercial real estate as well as the equity investment side, and handles not only sophisticated trophy properties but also large portfolio transactions.

Responsibilities:
· Represent commercial real estate lenders and equity clients in sophisticated transactions, including financing, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, and lending
· Represent large financial institutions with real estate debt and equity transactions
· Draft and negotiate transactional documents, including equity operating documents, loan documents and purchase and sale agreements
· Perform transactional due diligence review, including title and survey matters,
· Manage all aspects of transactional closings

Required Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of real estate transactional experience in a law firm environment
· Strong academic credentials and writing skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $225,000 – $420,000.
