About the Position:
Our client, a dynamic Am Law firm, has an active need for an attorney with strong real estate finance experience to join its Chicago office as an associate. This Chambers-ranked real estate group is a core practice of the firm and handles all aspects of real estate deals, from acquisition through development, debt and equity financing, leasing and disposition. Responsibilities:
· Assist with a range of legal services throughout the life cycle of real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisition, disposition, development, and finance
· Represent lenders and borrowers in sophisticated real estate debt and similar transactions
· Represent property owners and investors in real estate transactions involving institutional lenders, private equity, and developers across asset classes
· Draft and negotiate real estate agreements, closing documents and post-closing development documents

Required Qualifications:
· 3+ years of transactional real estate experience, including acquisition financings, mezzanine financings, construction financings, refinancings and loan modifications
· Experience drafting and reviewing a variety of real estate agreements
· Joint venture experience is a plus
· Strong academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $240,000 – $435,000.
