About the Position:
Our client, a Midwest-based national law firm, is seeking an experienced renewable energy real estate attorney to join as an associate in its Chicago office. Responsibilities:
· Counsel clients on energy production and sustainability initiatives and transactions, including M&A, permitting and regulation, and facility development and construction
· Prepare and negotiate leases, purchase and sale agreements, distribution agreements, loan documents and other complex commercial agreements for a variety of renewable energy projects
· Assist clients with regulatory compliance and administrative matters involving land use and energy natural resources issues, including permitting, zoning, site remediation, and hazardous substances

Required Qualifications:
· 5-7 years of real estate transactional experience involving wind, solar, and/or battery storage
· Excellent academic credentials

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $220,000 – $280,000.
