About the Position:
Our client, a global private markets investment manager, is actively seeking a private equity paralegal to join its Chicago office as a senior associate. Responsibilities:
· Draft and manage private equity fund investment documents, including approval materials, subscription agreements, side letters, and AML/KYC records
· Oversee the full lifecycle of closings for fund-of-funds investments and co-investment transactions
· Act as the primary liaison between internal investment teams and outside counsel, general partners, investors, and other external parties throughout each closing
· Maintain organized, compliant closing files and support post-closing document distribution and recordkeeping
Required Qualifications:
· At least 4-6 years of transactional paralegal experience gained in-house or at a law firm, with a focus on private equity, M&A, commercial real estate, and/or debt finance work
· Proven ability to juggle multiple closings simultaneously and manage complex deal documentation, ideally including experience with private fund or fund-of-funds investments
· Solid understanding of global AML/KYC requirements, along with sharp attention to detail and strong organizational and prioritization skills
· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in law or business administration, with a strong preference for an ABA-accredited paralegal certificate

Compensation:
The anticipated base compensation for this position is $95,000 – $130,000.
