About the Position:
Our client, a premier Am Law firm, is seeking a tax transactional attorney to join its sophisticated practice as an associate in Chicago. This firm’s tax practice advises businesses, investment funds, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals on federal, state, local, and international tax matters, with a focus on practical, tax-efficient solutions. In this role, you will provide tax planning and support for transactions including acquisitions and sales, capital raises, recapitalizations, joint ventures, succession planning, organizational matters, and international operations.

Responsibilities:
· Advise companies, investors, and family offices on complex corporate and partnership tax matters, business transactions
· Assist clients in structuring deals that support growth, reduce risk, and align with their long-term financial objectives
· Handle a broad range of transactional and tax issues, including taxable and nontaxable acquisitions, corporate restructurings, financings, private equity and hedge fund structuring and formations, asset securitizations, executive compensation, and other mergers and acquisitions matters
Required Qualifications:
· 4-5 years of tax transactional experience at a law firm or Big 4 accounting firm
· Experience with the income tax aspects of M&A and finance

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $285,000 – $320,000.
