About the Position:
We are working with a prestigious Am Law firm that has an active need for a privacy and cybersecurity attorney (4-6 yrs) to join its Chicago office as an associate. The attorneys in this practice represent a wide array of clients in virtually all areas of the global economy and possess decades of experience as well as advanced business and technical backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
· Advise clients on developing proper data handling and processing practices to comply with the latest developments in U.S. state data privacy laws
· Counsel clients on incident response issues, including breach notification laws
· Help corporate clients respond to ransomware attacks and data breaches, evaluate privacy risk and compliance strategies for complex data sets

Required Qualifications:
· 4-6 years of experience with privacy and cybersecurity in a law firm environment
· CIPP or other relevant certifications are a plus
· Knowledge of U.S. state, federal, and international privacy and regulatory compliance and counseling (CCPA, COPPA, GDPR, GLBA, COPPA, HIPAA, and TCPA
· Strong academic credentials and writing skills

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $310,000 – $370,000.
