About the Position:
Our client, a leading law firm in Virginia, is seeking a trusts and estates attorney to join its private wealth practice as a senior associate or junior partner in Norfolk, VA. This is a succession-planning opportunity offering sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, tax planning, and estate administration work for high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, and closely held business owners.

Responsibilities:
· Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, and business owners on estate and wealth transfer planning strategies
· Draft sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, charitable planning vehicles, and related instruments
· Counsel clients on estate and trust administration, probate matters, and fiduciary issues
· Assist clients with tax planning and related federal and state tax matters
· Collaborate with corporate and real estate attorneys on integrated planning solutions
· Support business succession planning and closely held business matters
Required Qualifications:
· 5+ years of significant experience with estate planning and estate/trust administration
· Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families
· Strong drafting skills and knowledge of estate, gift, and fiduciary tax planning concepts
· Portable book of business is a plus
· LL.M. in Taxation and/or CPA designation is a plus

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $180,000+ and may be substantially higher for candidates with a portable book of business.
