Nancy Carey is a Managing Director at McCormack Schreiber Legal Search, where she has been recruiting for more than 20 years. Nancy places partners and associates at law firms throughout Chicago, as well as in-house counsel of all levels and practice areas. Prior to joining McCormack Schreiber, Nancy was a partner in the Litigation Department at Winston & Strawn LLP. She was very active in recruiting at Winston and was a member of the firm’s Summer Associate Committee. Nancy earned her B.S., with High Honors in Accountancy, in 1989 from the University of Illinois, and passed the Certified Public Accountancy exam. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, in 1992 from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif, was a Harno Scholar, and was a Notes and Comments Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. Nancy has spoken about career issues for the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association, and is a former member of The Auxiliary Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, a non-profit organization of young professionals dedicated to raising funds for Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
